Workshops for Artists
Sadly, we’ve had to postpone our March and April workshops but we’re still hoping that planned workshops with Anthony Connolly RP, Andrew James RP and Richard Pikesley NEAC will happen in due course.
Meanwhile, we will be offering some online tutorials and activities.
for details please visit:
Tutor: Anthony Connolly
£375 (the price includes delicious home cooked lunch and refreshments throughout the day)
Making a portrait is possibly the most difficult thing any draftsman or painter can attempt. It’s difficult and hugely rewarding. Anthony is an encouraging and perceptive tutor. Because he doesn’t teach a method but works with each artist individually the workshop is suitable for all abilities. This workshop attracts all levels of experience and expertise and the atmosphere is always friendly and supportive. These workshops are very popular so do book early.
Anthony Connolly
Anthony Connolly trained at Goldsmith’s College. He is a member of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters. He has work in many public and private collections including the Royal Collection at Windsor Castle, West Point Military Academy and Rhodes House and Campion Hall, both in Oxford.
He now lives with his family in Wiltshire where he also has a studio. He is an experienced teacher and he is well known here at the Summerleaze where he has been teaching for several years.
