Do You Draw People?
The Royal Society of Portrait Painters is proud to launch the RP Drawing Prize: Revealing the Human.
This is a new, dynamic opportunity for artists, designers and creatives whose work involves drawing.
The prize is open to artists in the UK and internationally.
This inaugural open call welcomes submissions in all drawing styles and techniques, providing a vibrant platform for bold, original, and thought-provoking work.
The RP is seeking submissions from artists who depict people, in whatever form that happens to be.
We are keen to explore and expand the idea of what a portrait can be and because drawing is such an immediate, direct response to the human, we’re hoping to be surprised by a wide variety of responses.
The RP Drawing Prize is open to creatives at all stages of their careers.
A distinguished panel will select up to 120 works to be exhibited at The University of Hull Art Gallery.
Works which feature in the exhibition can be available for sale and the FBA Art Consultancy will be available to manage commission enquiries.
There is also the chance to win The RP Drawing Prize of £5,000, as well as other prizes and awards.
Celebrating the power and versatility of drawing, the RP Drawing Prize champions creative expression and innovation, offering a unique opportunity for emerging and established artists to gain visibility.
Please ensure you have read the Terms & Conditions before entering to ensure your work is eligible for submission.
