RP member Sam Dalby’s portrait of his friend, Justin Eckersley, has been donated to the Royal Society of Portrait Painters’ ‘People’s Portraits’ collection at Girton College, Cambridge. The new addition was unveiled at a reception in September where Sam gave an illuminating talk about the painting.
Established in 2000, the permanent display is a unique body of work by members of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters representing people who are not normally the subject of a painted portrait.
