Raised in Cheshire. I now live with my wife &amp; children in Mid Wales.<\/p>\n<p>I have always drawn &amp; painted. I have no formal art education: what I know, I know through working &amp; studying the work of others.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=&#8221;COMMISSIONS&#8221;][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]P.O.A[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h5>METHOD OF WORKING<\/h5>\n<p>Time with the sitter is invaluable and is reflected in the quality of the finished work, but I can work from photographs alone if sittings are impossible or impractical.<br \/>\nSittings can be in my studio in Montgomeryshire, or I can travel.<br \/>\nQuantity of sittings varies according to individual circumstances (how easily a likeness comes; complexity of composition; vagaries of light and location) and availability of the sitter.<br \/>\nI usually ask for a minimum of 5 sittings for a head and 12-16 sittings for a half\/three-quarter length portrait.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=&#8221;NOTABLE SITTERS&#8221;][vc_row_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]Every person I work with is of note to me: It is important to me that I work with the same care and effort regardless of the &#8220;notability&#8221;
