As with his paintings of landscapes and city scenes, Peter has a love of capturing the everyday aspects of our lives. He does not use photography for reference and endeavours to capture his five wriggling children entirely from life.
In 2008 he won The Prince of Wales Award for Portrait Drawing. He is represented by Messums, London and has had 18 one-man exhibitions in both London and his adopted home city of Bath in the last 12 years. His work is represented in the collections of the Holburne Museum, The Victoria Art Gallery, The National Library of Wales, the Target Corporation, The Howard de Walden Estate and the Bowerman Collection.
PETER BROWN PRICE GUIDE
This is a rough fee-guide for a single portrait. Frame, travel & accommodation expenses, and VAT are not included. For groups and non-standard sizes please ask for a quote.
METHOD OF WORKING
I take 2 or 3 sittings of 2 hours as a guide and only work from life. I am happy to travel to my sitters and to paint groups. I am currently registered for VAT.
I don’t feel that any sitter is more notable than another.
