I have spent my life drawing, painting and sculpting the human form. I’ve used water colour, pastels, charcoal, acrylic and clay, but my favourite medium is oil paints. I have also taught Art in various schools over a period of fourteen years.
My style and whole approach could be described as an attempt to capture the sensitivity and
humanity that can be found in a human face. I use colour to indicate fragility or strength. Brush
strokes can capture fleeting light, liveliness or calm.
My preferred subject matter is the portraiture of children, either close up faces, or captured at play.
