Born Scotland 1956.
Lived in Central America and Nigeria until the age of 14 when she returned to Scotland and

- Studied under Quentin Blake.
- Studio Paris and worked as freelance illustrator quickly moving into Painting for private commission.
Her main studio is in East Sussex, near Rye.
Her paintings hang internationally and galleries include The National Portrait Gallery London,
The Scottish National Portrait Gallery Edinburgh, The Mall Galleries,London.
She recently did a series of programmes for BBC Radio 4 and lectures regularly on Painting in
a variety of locations including The National Portrait Gallery.
She teaches in Italy, Bath and her studios in East Sussex.
Her commissions include HRH Prince Michael of Kent, Seamus Heaney, Juliette Stevenson,
Lemn Sissey to name a few.
She is currently writing a book on Portraiture with (name of publishers) which will be
published in 2021.
Fiona welcomes commissions and any possibility to encourage others to paint, of which she
has endless enthusiasms.
