I’m a London based contemporary artist, studying at the Art Academy London, specialising in portrait and figurative oil painting.

To create my paintings, I use drawing and photography to underpin the composition and in capturing what makes the sitter unique, studying the nuances expressed by the individual. From the way they smile, sit, hold their head, move their hands, through to the positioning of their body, often when undertaking mundane tasks or when caught off guard. From this, I look to convey the emotions and feelings being expressed using a range of realism techniques. it’s a fascinating, challenging and satisfying process. My work is largely influenced by 19th Century Scandinavian artists such as Zorn, Hammershoi and Bergh.

I’ve exhibited at the Mall Galleries, London’s Newington Gallery, the Landmark Arts’ Centre, as well as in on-line exhibitions during recent Covid times.
